Targeted Outreach

What is on offer?

In-school/college workshops

A series of one-hour workshops delivered in-school/college to students providing impartial higher education information, advice and guidance. This is only available to students in Year 12 or 13 or college equivalent. Topics include:

      • Personal statements
      • UCAS
      • University student finance
      • Progression routes
      • Study skills
      • Is higher education right for me?
      • Budgeting and financial literacy.

Mentoring

A new and significant addition to our 2024/25 outreach programme is the option of one-to-one or small group mentoring. This personalised mentoring will help students explore their options and develop actionable plans for their future pathway(s).  The bespoke mentoring will be delivered in consultation with the school/college and local Access and Outreach Officer to ensure the frequency of mentoring meets the needs of the learners’ academic commitments.

Partner university campus visits

In addition to in-school opportunities, we are offering a limited number of campus events in partnership with higher education institutions (HEIs). These events include:
