Marissa Peach

Higher Education Liaison Officer

The schools and colleges I work with are: Lawn Manor Academy, The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form College, Nova Hreod Academy and The Dorcan Academy.

Day-to-day I work with young people in Swindon by delivering events in school and co-ordinating events away from school which support students to make the most of their future.

More about me:

Before joining Study Higher, I volunteered for local youth clubs and worked with a social mobility charity, where I conducted qualitative research looking at the benefits of a sustained project and Widening Participation. I studied Sociology at University and went on to complete an MSc in Policy Research, with a focus on researching ‘what works’ for WP.  I was the first member of my family to attend university, which gave me first-hand experience of the challenges faced when progressing to HE, and we lived in an area where progression to higher education was low.  These life experiences fuel my drive to support young people and my desire to help to bridge the education gap. In my spare time I enjoy practising yoga and mindfulness, I try to read every day and I’m a huge Harry Potter fan!
