What is Study Higher?

Study Higher is a collaborative partnership of universities, colleges, and other stakeholders working together to support the government’s objectives of doubling the proportion of disadvantaged young people entering higher education by 2020.

Study Higher is working towards this goal by delivering a range of aspiration raising events and activities to young people as well as providing high quality, impartial advice and guidance about the variety of higher education opportunities on offer.

Study Higher is funded through the National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) which is specifically aimed at students in years 9 to 13 who live in geographical areas where HE participation is both low and much lower than expected given GCSE level attainment.

The NCOP has identified these geographical areas at ward and postcode level. Therefore, any student on a Study Higher activity should live in specific postcode areas.
