Swindon Borough Council, Study Higher, Swindon & Wiltshire Careers Hub and British Computer Society have joined forces to put on an apprenticeship event to promote opportunities to young people in Swindon and the surrounding areas.
ApprentiFest – Wednesday 7 June 2023
STEAM Museum, Fire Fly Avenue, Swindon SN2 2TA
Daytime
Open to year 10 and 12 students who are interested in studying an apprenticeship. Students will be able to attend a morning or afternoon session, which must be booked via the school.
Programme:
- welcome talk and introduction to apprenticeships
- applications & CV tips/hints workshop
- employer ‘blind date’ workshop
- visit apprenticeship fair (with apprenticeship providers).
Things you should know:
- open to students and residents in Swindon and the surrounding areas only
- free to attend
- funding support towards transport is available
- year 10 and 12 students will be at the event at the same time
- places are booked via school.

Evening (4pm – 6.30pm)
Open to parents/carers and students from any year group from Swindon and the surrounding areas. There will be the opportunity to meet a number of apprenticeship employers with current vacancies. There will also be different talks from apprenticeship professionals, including:
- introduction to apprenticeships and how to find them
- apprenticeships in the NHS.
