Whiltley Researchers are holding 'Whitley for Real celebration event' on Wednesday 16th May at 5.30pm at John Madejski Academy.
As you are probably aware, the Whitley Researchers and the University of Reading, along with local primary and secondary schools, and supported by the Council, Affinity Housing and the community, have been carrying out a programme of research to access the ‘local voice’ in South Reading, particularly amongst younger people, as part of the Whitley for Real programme (see below for further information).
The programme of research is now nearing completion and the headline results will be presented at the event. We will also be starting to talk about how the results can be used, and this part of the evening will help to inform a wider stakeholder workshop which we plan to hold in July, where we will start to discuss action plans.
A more detailed agenda for the event will follow nearer the time.
Please let me know if you would like to attend (or if you have any questions), by emailing Jill Marston.
We look forward to seeing you at the event.
Whitley for Real
The overall aim of the Whitley for Real programme is to use the ‘local voice’ to influence both current and planned activities in the area, so that resources can be targeted more effectively, ultimately helping to enhance family lives and reduce deprivation.
