This summer, in collaboration with Bucks New University and the University of Reading, Study Higher will be running a free residential summer school for target students* in Year 12 from Tuesday 25 - Thursday 27 July 2017.

Students in attendance will take part in a free, fun, and interactive 3 day/2 night residential focussing on subject areas related to Creative Arts and Humanities.

What will the students gain from this opportunity?

  • Experience university life by staying in student accommodation.
  • Meet current undergraduate students to have a first-hand insight into HE.
  • Take part in a range of activities at both Bucks New University and the University of Reading related to Creative Arts and Humanities as well as student life.
  • Participate in external trips and other activities designed to enhance their knowledge of the experience of being a university student.

Through socialising, studying and gaining knowledge, we aim to ensure that participants leave the summer school with a clearer understanding of their options within Higher Education and will be inspired to succeed in pursuing the right option for them.

*Who can attend?

Study Higher provides outreach events and activities to students who live in particular areas across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Swindon. This residential is targeted at students who meet very specific criteria. To find out whether any students in your school are eligible to attend, please email info@studyhigher.ac.uk.

Travel:

In addition to free accommodation, food, and activities, students will not be required to cover travel costs to and from the summer school. For more details about travel arrangements, please contact your school's Higher Education Liaison Officer (HELO) or info@studyhigher.ac.uk if you are unsure who your HELO is.
