Suitable for students looking to study for a degree in Architecture.
In attending this taster day, you will develop skills needed to be a successful student of Architecture, such as how to think three-dimensionally and represent buildings, spaces and places through drawing. You will have an introduction to drawing skills, how to sketch buildings, how to observe architectural details and start to draw the world around us from an architect's perspective.
This session will also help you develop portfolio material to aid your application, and you will have the opportunity to meet and engage with staff from the department, including Foundation Professor, Lorraine Farrelly. Taking place at the brand new School of Architecture at our London Road campus, you will also have the chance to explore the teaching spaces, experience the outstanding facilities and learn more about the award-winning student experience here at the University of Reading.
How to apply:
We welcome applications from all students who are in their first year of studying for A-levels (or equivalent qualifications). However, if this event becomes oversubscribed, we will give priority to students who have predicted grades in line with the University of Reading course requirements, and also those who have no prior family experience of higher education.
