An event for Year 12 A-level students interested in studying Archaeology or History at degree level.

This taster day will give you the opportunity to handle bones, view artefacts and hear from our expert academics on a range of subjects from diet and disease in medieval England, the practice of medieval magic and an insight into the life of monks at Glastonbury Abbey. There will also be an opportunity to meet staff and students from these departments and learn more about studying these subjects at the University of Reading.

Teachers are invited to bring a group of up to twenty Year 12 students to this event.

Please note that students can attend as individuals without an accompanying teacher, although they will need to make their own way to and from the University of Reading.
