Bucks New University is part of Study Higher partnership, the Office for Students (OfS) funded National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) covering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Swindon. The partnership is part of a nationwide programme that aims to provide programmes of collaborative outreach in specific, local areas where higher education participation is low overall and lower than would be expected given GCSE (KS4) attainment rates, with the intention of boosting HE participation rates by young people from the most disadvantaged backgrounds.
As part of this project we are looking to recruit a highly motivated Project Manager to manage Bucks New University’s collaborative offering with Study Higher, to increase participation in Higher Education (HE) for students from backgrounds currently underrepresented in HE. The post holder will provide direction and co-ordination on the delivery of the University’s National Collaborative Outreach Programme projects from planning phase through to fruition, project launch and delivery. They will engage with all stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are delivered, NCOP targets met or exceeded, and return on investment is demonstrated.
The successful candidate will need to have project management experience through the full project lifecycle, managing challenges involved in complex projects and resolving complex issues. Experience in making and delivering informative presentations, networking and building relationships with key stakeholders and knowledge of issues facing the UK Higher Education sector is essential.
