Buckinghamshire New University was founded in 1893 and offers an extensive portfolio of courses spanning the creative and cultural industries, the management and information management sectors, and the public sector. It has campuses in High Wycombe and Uxbridge. At High Wycombe, its state-of-the-art building, The Gateway has facilities including an events hall, gym, sports science laboratory, dance and drama studios and video production studios. Its Uxbridge Campus provides a base for nursing students and applied healthcare research. The University also won the Education Provider of the Year (post-registration) award at the national 2015 Student Nursing Times Awards. Its alumni include television star Noel Fielding and London 2012 Paralympic and Olympic medallists Naomi Riches and Chloe Rogers.
